Introduction to Ramadhan Discovery
Ramadhan is a precious month in Islam.The hidden benefits and hikmah have been offered to all Muslim in abundance of blessings. Upon entering Rejab and Syaaban, the practices of Islam should be improved in order to optimize the benefits of Ramadhan of which the value is greater than any other months written in Islamic calendar. This sacred month witnesses some important occasion in Islam such as the reveal of the glorious Al-Quran and the victory of the Muslim in the Badar al-Kubra battle. The monthlong period in fasting during Ramadhan also teaches the meaning of self-discipline, self control, righteousness and forgiveness. Enduring the needy lives, Ramadhan become an eye-opener and self-experience for the less fortunate and the poor.
In line with this, the Mosque administration unit of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, in collaboration with Rakan Masjid UTP will organize a programme to enable the understanding and knowledge sharing on the true meaning of the Ramadhan month. It is hoped that through the activities organized for UTP students, the understanding of Islam as a way of life could be immersed comfortably with every aspect of our lives including our quest for excellence in spirituality, academic and social circle.May this effort stimulates the kickstart of betterment in our life, corresponding to the righteousness towards the oneness of Allah s.w.t.
In general, the main goal in organizing this programme is to create awareness among UTP students on the upcoming Ramadhan al-Mubarak.Thus, every activity and event in this programme should be executed in fundamental with these objectives :
• To instil awareness among UTP students on the upcoming Ramadhan al-Mubarak.
• To create a learning culture among UTP students through the programme organized in order to propel continuous virtues.
• To strengthen the bond between UTP students and the surrounding community in the nearest qariah.
• To develop a noble character through deep understanding and practices of Islamic values along Ramadhan period.
• To expose hidden talents of UTP students in Islamic arts in support of UTP mission to produce well-rounded graduates.
